New appointments to Board of Education, Council on Postsecondary Education, pre-K council

PROVIDENCE — New associates were being appointed by Gov. Dan McKee to the Board of Schooling, the Council on Postsecondary Schooling, and the Council on Elementary and Secondary Education.

David A Caprio, a attorney and previous point out consultant, was designed chair of the Council on Postsecondary Instruction.

Caprio will fill Timothy DelGiudice’s seat on the Rhode Island Board of Education and the Council on Postsecondary Schooling.

Caprio’s appointment to the Board of Education and learning been given Senate advice and consent on May perhaps 24.

Marcy Reyes has been appointed to the Council on Postsecondary Education. She is an adjunct professor of finance at Rhode Island College or university, and founder and govt director of the Monetary Literacy Youth Initiative, which delivers economical literacy programming to underserved youth.

Her title has been submitted to the Senate for advice and consent.

McKee has appointed Mary Barden to the Board of Training. She replaces Marianne Monte, who a short while ago resigned from the board.

He strategies to appoint Barden to the Council on Elementary and Secondary Training, replacing Larry Purtill, who will go to the Council on Postsecondary Education and learning.

Barden was named incoming govt director of the Countrywide Education Association Rhode Island in March. She teaches social scientific tests at Davisville Center Faculty in North Kingstown.

Her title has been submitted to the Senate for advice and consent.
